The SmokeLong Quarterly Award for Flash Fiction 2020

Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18.

The competition is organised by SmokeLong Quarterly, an online literary magazine dedicated to flash fiction.

Flash fictions submitted to the competition must be in English. Non-Anglo stories accompanied by an English translation will also be considered.

Word count: under 1000 words, excluding the title, per story.

Stories must be original works and not have been previously published anywhere online or in print, including personal blogs.

Entry fees
• February 10 – April 26: $13.50 for up to two stories
• April 27 – May 24: $15.50 for up to two stories

In June 2020 SmokeLong Quarterly will publish an all-contest issue of the journal. SmokeLong will award a grand prize of $2000, second prize of at least $200, third prize of at least $100, and $50 to all other finalists, all published in the issue.
