The Power of Your Subconscious Mind

Conscious and Subconscious Mind

The conscious Mind is just like the captain in a ship. The captain gives the order to the others and controls the ship.

Conscious Mind: (Objective Mind)

Your conscious mind is the reasoning mind. You make all your decisions by using your conscious mind.

But the Subconscious Mind is just like the crew, who follow the orders that the captain gives and they do not ask any questions.

Subconscious Mind: (Subjective mind)

Your Subconscious mind works without the help of conscious. Automatic body functions are carried out by the subconscious mind without the help of your conscious mind.

Your Subconscious Mind is an untapped power house waiting to be explored to bring forth your ultimate potential.

The treasure house within you

Conscious mind is like the gardener and Subconscious mind, a garden. The gardener has complete control over the seeds to be sowed which are thoughts & the garden will help these seeds to become plants (material success/failure). You also have the choice of seeds(thoughts). And your subconscious mind will produce a material equivalent for those thoughts — Good for good, Bad for bad.

The GIGO Principle

GIGO – Garbage In Garbage Out or Good In Good Out

Your Subconscious operates by the GIGO principle.

It simply accepts what you give it as input, it does not argue with you.

If you give it negative input (garbage in) it will then give you negative output (garbage out)

If you give it positive input (good in) it will give you positive output (good out).

The principal reasons for failure are:

  • lack of confidence
  • too much effort

Mental coercion or too much effort shows anxiety and fear, which block your answers.

When your mind is relaxed and you accept an idea, your subconscious goes to work to execute the idea.

On the verge of giving up

Your failure to get results may also arise from such statements as: “things are getting worse”, “I will never get an answer”, “I see no way out it is hopeless” and so on.

When you use such statements, you get no response or cooperation from your subconscious mind. Like a soldier marking time you neither go forward nor backwards; in other words, you do not get anywhere.

The 3 steps to success

  1. Love Your Work: Ask for guidance from career experts or you must also proceed with faith and confidence that you will find the job that you love.
  2. Specialize: Perfecting a craft is a thoroughly rewarding pursuit. It allows you to become a master in your field. Mastering your work will help make you feel more fulfilled, and economic success will follow.
  3. Altruism: Your love of work cannot be associated with selfish desires. Instead, you gain the most happiness from your motivations – a cause that serves humanity.

Train your Subconscious Mind by Repetition

Learning a new skill initially takes a large amount of conscious effort. For example, the first time I learned to ride a bike, it would have been challenging. However, repetition meant that riding a bike started to take less conscious effort. Your subconscious mind starts taking over and riding a bike becomes automatic.

Anyone can overcome their negative thoughts by repeatedly telling their conscious mind to stop interfering with their subconscious mind. The meditative practice may allow them to reduce their fears.

Natural Ability to Self-Heal

You can use your subconscious mind to self-heal. One of the ways is to sleep over things when you cannot decide which choice to pick.

Self-healing is also how Placebo Effects are established. Placebos occur when an individual gets better or feels better after being given a substance that is not a real treatment.

If we allow our subconscious field to be open to questioning and challenging standard views, then this is enough. When you are in a drowsy state, you allow your subconscious mind to have a more significant influence over your faith in treatment. This drowsiness is how praying to God can sometimes help individuals be healed.

Power of Positive Thinking

When one of Murphy’s relatives developed tuberculosis, his relative’s son picked up a piece of wood off a sidewalk and gave it to his father, and said that this was a cross bought from a monk and the cross had been used to heal many people. The father held onto the piece of wood tightly overnight, and the next morning he was completely healed.

Principally, if you visualize or imagine what you hope to be true, sometimes it does come true.

Mental Movie Method: involves creating a mental image that you desire. Then, you hold it in your mind until your subconscious makes it a reality.

Remove all Negative Thoughts

Negative thoughts are highly detrimental. Not only do they impact your emotions, but they also prevent you from succeeding.

When you get angry, you have to go through 4 stages in your mind: think about what happens – decide to get angry – generate an emotion of rage – decide to act or react kindly.

You see that the thought, emotion, reaction, and action all take place in your mind. When you become emotionally mature, you do not respond negatively to the criticism and resentment of others.

Fear = False Thoughts

Negative thoughts are highly detrimental. Not only do they impact your emotions, but they also prevent you from succeeding.

Just imagine your dreams

Joseph Murphy recommends picturing your desired end goal in life. This will feed your subconscious, which will help you reach this goal.

Joseph Murphy gives an example of a young Australian boy, wanted to become a doctor and surgeon, but have no money. Every night before he fell asleep, he would envision a medical diploma hanging on his wall. Eventually, one day a doctor saw his potential and taught him how to sterilize instruments and give injections. The doctor paid him for this work and let him study. This is a perfect example of combining your passions with positive visualization, leading to initial success and motivating you to excel even further.

Believe in your Subconscious Mind

  • Use affirmations and auto-suggestions to feed ‘Positivity’ in your subconscious mind.
  • Never try to force your subconscious – You have to use your imagination, not your willpower.
  •  The two factors that can make your subconscious realms fail. The first factor is a lack of confidence, and the second factor is putting too much effort into making it work. So, gain knowledge about what you do and be confident about yourself, and just believe in your subconscious.

Direct your mind to manifest

If you want good then give your Subconscious mind good directions, so that it can respond to you and help you achieve your desired outcome.

  • Your beliefs create your reality.
  • You create what you believe.

So, use your Conscious mind to think and deposit your desired thought outcomes into your Subconscious mind regularly and before you know it you will be manifesting your desired life.
