See You at the Top – Book Summary

This book helped me to learn 6 important steps to get success in my goals and I’m still applying them whenever I can and I can see the change.

6 Steps in the Staircase

Yes, Staircase! not a lift! Because there is no shortcut to go to the top. You have to step on each staircase one by one and eventually you will see yourself at the top.

The 6 steps are: –

  1. SELF- IMAGE
  2. RELATIONSHIP
  3. GOALS
  4. ATTITUDE
  5. WORK
  6. DESIRE

#1 SELF-IMAGE

It doesn’t matter what others think about yourself, but it is much more important how you think about yourself.

We normally get influenced by our society or friends. So, try to think to yourself what kind of person you want to be in the future. For them three are many tips given in the books. Some of them are ‘Positive self-talk’, ‘talk with successful people in your desired field’,’ reading success stories’, etc.

#2 RELATIONSHIP

The 2nd step is the relationship with others.

In the book, the author talks a lot about how a healthy marriage is a key to success. It is not that you don’t have to get married asap, but if you’re in one already get down and invest.

You both need to work for your relationship and if your relationship is not healthy it will affect your overall motivation and which will eventually affect your business and your success.

#3 GOALS

If you don’t have a compass, you will just wander in the vast sea and never reach your destination. In LIFE you will also need direction to move on. This direction will be set by your GOALS.

Some of the most important goal achieving principles are –

  • Keep records of where you are
  • Make a list
  • Specific with goals
  • Set big small goals which you think are achievable
  • Make a goal long range etc.

#4 ATTITUDE

There is a difference between attitude and self-image. Self-image means how you view yourself, but attitude is about how you represent the rest of the world.

You must change your attitude towards problems like you are facing this problem because of your own fault and you must learn how to react to such situations in real life.

#5 WORK

In LIFE you will not get anything for free. If you believe one day some magical being will come with a magic wand and make all of your dreams, come true, it’s not going to happen.

You have to go out and need to find your own ways to achieve your dreams and work hard to get them. It’s the only way.

And you should know comfort zone is a nice place but nothing ever grows there.

#6 DESIRE

Now you have set up your goals, you have the right attitude and you are working hard for it, but if you don’t have a burning desire for your goals then it will not last long.

The burning desire gives you the boost to go on. Your desire should be at the top in order to achieve what you want in your life.
